Kyle Pitts
Pos: TE
School: Florida
Ht: 6’6″
Wt: 240 lbs
Strengths:
- Unbelievable athlete. Pitts is a receiver in the body of a tight end.
- Can line up as a receiver
- Speed is extraordinary for a player his size
- Good route runner with good feet
- Is an aggressive blocker and is not a one dimensional tight end
- Mismatch player, utilizes size well and good combination of speed + route running
- Soft hands, reliable pass catcher
- Is able to make good catches in traffic
Weaknesses:
- Would benefit from becoming a more efficient and willing blocker
Overall Assessment:
As you can see, Kyle Pitts is one of the best tight end prospects to come out of college in a while. Pitts has almost no flaws from the tape I have watched, and brings just about everything to the table. You would assume a tight end who is as good of a receiver he is, may lack some blocking traits, however Pitts is just as good in that category when he does block. Pitts can do just about everything a receiver is asked to do, let alone a tight end. His speed and athletic ability for a player his size is absurd, simply put. Pitts can do anything he is asked to do on the field and can make just about any play. A team is getting an all around a true weapon by drafting him. Pitts may even enter the league as a top 10 tight end, which just goes on to show the talent that he has.
