Cedric Tillman

Tennessee WR

Games Watched: Kentucky, Georgia, South Carolina

Summary: Cedric Tillman is a large receiver who does a great job maximizing his size. He is amazing in contested catch situations because of his ability to use his body and attack the ball. His size also helps him after the catch where he frequently falls forward. His weaknesses stem from lack of elite change of direction skills or long speed, which combined with a below average route runner could mean he has trouble separating in the NFL.

Pros

  • Ideal receiver size
  • Great body control at the catch point
  • Uses his size to shield off defenders
  • Great ball skills attack the football and make tough catches
  • Has the strength to break tackles and drag defenders after the catch

Cons

  • Below average quickness out of his breaks
  • Doesn’t have a second gear to get open vertically
  • Release package and hand usage is underdeveloped

Grade: Cedric Tillman gets an early 3rd round grade. His size and ball skills provide a unique profile but separation issues are no joke.
