Summary: Emmanuel Forbes is a corner who plays well in both man and zone. He tracks the ball well and had great hands which contributed to his 6 INT season in 2022. He’s a technically sound player and moves well too. One of the main issues with Forbes is that he has low functional strength which allows receivers, blockers, and ball carriers to beat him with physicality. He also sees plays develop just a second too slowly. He may have gotten away with that in college but that will be exploited in the NFL.

Cons

  • Often one tick too slow to recognize what’s going on
  • Easily manipulated by the quarterback’s eyes
  • Needs to improve his functional strength
  • Goes for big hits when he doesn’t need to resulting in missed tackles

Grade: Emmanuel Forbes gets a mid 3rd round grade. He’s a good athlete but a slow processor which could lead to trouble against NFL caliber WRs.
