Jack Campbell
Iowa LB
Games Watched: Michigan, Ohio State, Kentucky
Summary: Jack Campbell is a big linebacker who should play MIKE at the next level. He has the strength to effectively shed blocks and has a surprising amount of speed when attacking in pursuit. He stays patient and is a reliable tackler which prevents explosive plays. As a pass defender he has an amazing feel for zone coverage and tremendous ball skills as well. While his size doesn’t limit his straight line speed, his ability to change directions isn’t great. He is often slow to diagnose plays which contributes to his lack of range. He will also need to develop as a blitzer.

- Completely derails receivers’ routes by getting his hands on them

Cons
- Doesn’t switch directions all that quickly causing possible range concerns

- Not a developed blitzer who rushes with a plan
Grade: Jack Campbell gets a mid 2nd round grade. He’s a reliable run defender with zone coverage skills to make him a 3 down starter.
