Jammie Robinson

Florida State SAF

Games Watched: NC State, Clemson, Oklahoma

Summary: Jammie Robinson is a safety with the versatility to line up all over the field. He does a good job tackling as he has an acute ability to read ball carriers movements. He has good short area quickness and great instincts that lead to him making a lot of plays. Sometimes he hesitates and doesn’t act on what he’s seeing. He also needs to work on his ball skills and pursuit angles. His lack of elite athletic ability is another limiting factor.

Pros

  • Oily hips allow him to change directions quickly
  • Good instincts frequently lead him to the ball
  • Reads ball carriers well in space
  • Balances delivering big hits with fundamentally wrapping up and tackling based on the situation
  • Versatility to line up all over the defense

Cons

  • Doesn’t always trust what he’s seeing
  • Ball skills are below average
  • Needs to take better tackling angles
  • Mediocre athletically

Grade: Jammie Robinson gets a mid 3rd round grade. He does many things well but his athleticism limits his ceiling and still has some technical issues to fix.
