Kendre Miller

TCU RB

Games Watched: Kansas State (Reg season), Texas, Michigan

Summary: Kendre Miller has the standard running back build at 5’11 215. He has good contact balance, especially in the upper half of his body and he makes it tough for defenders to get a clean shot at him. He has good patience to see holes develop, and he does a good job pushing forward for yards before he goes down. Miller lacks speed however, as his acceleration and long speed are both lacking. He doesn’t really create holes for himself, and he’s also not a major contributor in the passing game.

Pros

  • Good build for a running back
  • Good contact balance in his upper body
  • Shifts his body to create a very small tackling surface for defenders
  • Great vision and patience
  • Drives his legs forward to create yards after contact

Cons

  • Lacks the speed to consistently make it to the edge
  • Doesn’t have great burst or acceleration off the snap
  • Doesn’t have a clear rush plan to manipulate defenders and create holes
  • Not the greatest receiver

Grade: Kendre Miller gets a 4th round grade. He’ll be a solid power back in a committee, but not much more.
