Tank Bigsby
Auburn RB
Games Watched: LSU, Arkansas, Texas A&M
Summary: Tank Bigsby stands at 6’0 210. He has a well built upper body and is tough to bring down with just arm tackles. He is a one cut runner and is incredibly explosive off of that first cut. He keeps his legs moving to get yards after contact and helps out in pass protection. While he is faster than his 40 time indicates, he isn’t very agile in space, and a lot of times he passes up bigger cutback lanes to follow the play call. He also showed a propensity to lose the football, and did not show much receiving prowess.
Pros
- Decent straight-line speed
- Explosive and powerful first cut
- Very patient waiting for lanes to open up
- Good contact balance
- Always falls forward in short yardage situations
- Good contributor in pass protection
Cons
- Not very agile in space
- Too frequently runs into the mouth of the defense instead of looking for a cutback lane
- Has ball security issues
- Not yet established as a quality receiver
Grade: Tank Bigsby gets a 4th round grade. I can see him contributing in a committee, but he isn’t talented enough to be a true RB1.
