Tre’Vius Hodges Tomlinson

TCU CB

Games Watched: Texas, Michigan, Georgia

Summary: Tre’Vius Hodges Tomlinson is an undersized corner who plays well in both man and zone. He played outside in college but it’s worth trying him in the slot as well. He’s a smooth mover and he plays with amazing instincts and natural balance. He has good route anticipation skills as well as very good ball skills. Obviously the main downside is that he’s incredibly small, but he also has a tendency to grab a lot and he’s not a major factor in the run game.

Pros

  • Runs well
  • Fluid hip movement
  • Phenomenal cornerback instincts
  • Plays with great balance
  • Good route anticipation skills
  • Consistently able to locate the ball and gets his hands in the right spot

Cons

  • Very undersized with short arms
  • Needs to learn to play without grabbing as much
  • Easily blocked by receivers

Grade: Tre’Vius Hodges Tomlinson gets a mid 2nd round grade. While he is undersized, he does so many things at a high level that he makes up for his size for the most part, and he will be a great slot corner.
