Will Levis
Kentucky QB
Games Watched: Ole Miss, Tennessee, Kentucky
Summary: Will Levis is a quarterback who is more potential than finished product at this point. He has a crisp throwing motion and incredible arm strength which allows him to make every throw and fit some crazy tight window throws. He does a decent job managing the pocket, and has the speed to add an extra element to an offense as a runner. His accuracy wasn’t bad but consistency with his ball placement could certainly be improved upon, and he will need to learn to throw with touch. His biggest weakness is his ability to read the field and decision making, where he stares down receivers and makes risky decisions.
Pros
- Clean release and throwing motion
- Arm strength to throw the ball far with minimal effort
- Makes tight window throws because of his arm strength
- Flashes good poise and pocket maneuverability
- Has the mobility to add to an offense as a runner
Cons
- Accuracy was not terrible but could be inconsistent even on easier throws
- Doesn’t put great touch on passes
- Often locked onto receivers too early, staring them down and forcing bad throws
- Can make some bad reactionary decisions once he’s pressured or sees his initial target is covered
Grade: Will Levis gets a mid 1st round grade. His decision making will have to improve but if it does there is a lot for offenses to work with.
