Dalton Kincaid
Pos: Tight End
School: Utah
Ht. 6’4″
Wt. 246
Games Watched: USC, Florida, Arizona State
One Liner: Smooth moving, athletic tight end who wins with excellent hands, body control and ball skills as a receiving tight end.
Strengths:
- Elite body control. For a player his size, Kincaid has an elite ability to go up and grab the football and adjust his body accordingly
- Very good hands. Kincaid has silky hands to make catches and is reliable as a pass catcher
- Very good route running. Moves extremely well with solid jolt at the stem of his route
- Very good ball skills. Kincaid tracks the ball extremely well while in the air and makes a play, somehow and someway, using his body control and ball skills to make a play.
- Good athletic ability. Kincaid is a good mover in space and wins with quick bursts and speed.
- Solid blocking in space. Kincaid isn’t known for his blocking, but when in space, he provides a solid jolt and burst through strong hands to block for screens and other plays in the short game
Weaknesses:
- Poor in line blocking. Kincaid is not strong enough to be a capable in-line blocker at the next level. He could look to add some weight as I don’t think this would truly hurt his ability as a receiver
Overall Assessment: Kincaid projects as an elite receiving threat tight end at the next level. He can win off the slot or as a receiver off the line and will immediately be a threat in the passing game. He needs to add some bulk to his frame for teams who use their tight ends in line often, but for now he projects solely as a flex tight end.
Pro Comp: Zach Ertz
Scheme Fit: Y tight end flexed out in the slot
Pick Projection: Top 20
